2010 GAPS Whit Whitlow Scholarship – Application Deadline Feb 26, 2010

As a tribute to Whit Whitlow, who was a pioneer in the formation of GAPS, and a steadfast supporter throughout his life, GAPS has established the Whit Whitlow Memorial Scholarship.  Please take a moment to consider submitting a nominee. The Award Recipient will be selected based on need, academic qualifications, school/community involvement and demonstrate a high level of leadership.

The criteria for consideration are:

1. Must have 3.0 GPA/”B” average or better.
2. Must be a Georgia resident.
3. Active in school/university or community organizations.
4. Must be a graduating high school senior or actively enrolled in college.
5. Nominated by a Member of GAPS, their employees or family. Nominating sponsor should provide a brief overview  (1/2 page max) of the candidate’s circumstances and need
6. Application (attached) must be submitted by February 26, 2010 via email to: info@gapsmembers.org.
7. Provide Proof of Acceptance to a college/university, if not already enrolled.
8. Provide a  brief statement (1/2 page typed maximum) of your personal goals and aspirations. 

The Award Recipient  will be selected based on need, academic qualifications, school/community involvement and demonstrate a high level of leadership. The scholarship will awarded on or near May 1st.
